Just my .02 here. When I was cutting cedar shake bolts you had to have dogs. Most of what we were cutting was in the 4' - 5' diameter range. When bucking logs like this; it would almost be impossible to cut as the power head is at shoulder hight. You would have to keep even pressure on the tip of the bar as the power head is being pulled by gravity. Now try to keep your cuts straight and match your cuts (36" bar and chain). You would play heck doing it with out dogs on the side of a draw or on the flats for that matter.
