Took in a stray homebuilt splitter a year ago and it never left. Trying to get it in the queue to get sorted out, be a good project to get behind me. It's powered by a sweet old Wisconsin THD engine, trouble is the old two cylinder girl is tired and needs a complete rebuild.
Looking on ebay is fruitless, prices are jacked up crazy.
Craigslist is an option but it's tough not being able to search nationwide instead of local or state by state.
Anyone have a line on one, or who knows how to search CL better please let me know.
Thanks

Can you possibly use a 4 cyl 30 hp Wisconsin on it with a different mount? Jeff in nj

I had a THD on my first Bandit 95 chipper and it was impossible to get parts or a spare for it. I sold that chipper as it was and got another Bandit 90 with a Wisconsin 4 banger. It needed a rebuild, but I got the parts out of Ohio easy and fixed it up. You may want to go with a Kohler or something new and available.

There was one posted 2 days ago on the Maine CL, closest one I see to you. There was one local to me a couple of months ago but the listing has expired.

Thanks guys.
I sent that Mainah an email but haven't heard back yet. He's only 3 hours away, and as I told Nic it would be a good excuse for a road trip. In thinking about it, would be a good excuse for some freshass seafood too!

Man, just thinking of a simple lobster roll (or three) with fresh off the boat catch has me wanting to ditch work tomorrow and just head up there THD or not! lol

You go up to Maine?

Last time I was in Boston on business I went up to Maine via the Mt Washington loop in NH. It was in the fall and the leaves were turning. They called it 'leaf peeping' there. Here we just call it fall colors. Anyway, I stopped on the ME/NH border at a lobstah shack and had lunch. Fellow comes in and starts to chat me up. He said he was from 'up north'. I do not know what the fork is north of there, but there cannot be much. I said I was from Oregon. He asked if that was in Canada. Yah know, Oregon, Ontario, the O provinces? I said, "Ah, no. Its in the states, see?" He nodded, got his 'to go' order and left.

lol yessir that sounds about right...

We try to get up there when we can. Nowhere in particular, just putt around and take our time off the beaten path away from the rest of the tourists and knuckleheads.
