I have a wood splitter that was over filled with oil. I drained it and put new oil in it. I ran it for a while until it was no longer blowing white smoke. It will only start with ether and the choke has to be on for it to run. But it has no power and when i checked the oil again it is a milky silver color. Not sure if this means the engine is shot or if I can fix it. looking for advice.

Rode hard and put away wet. The jug is wallowed out, the piston is prolly egg shaped, and the rings are the only thing keeping it from making a hell of a racket.

GIve it a good burial.
