hi all am looking for backup chains My question is are they any good?
Also Do others make same quality chains as Stihl? What is closest to the Stihl
RSC3 chain

Thank you Timber My dealer wants 15.95 for the Stihl RSC3 I can get Woodsman pro from Baileys for 12.95

I suspect that both Stihl RSC and Oregon LP chain are better, but the only Carlton chain I have used is a semi-chisel - not as good as Stihl RM, imo.

If im not mistaken I think Baileys has a $6.00 minimum, give or take a few pennies.

Woodsman Pro chain is worth it. It's all I run anymore simply because it outlasts and outcuts anything else I've tried. Stihl makes good chain and Oregon is always the old reliable but if you want the best use Woodsman Pro.

My experience with Woodsman Pro chains is the same as boboaks. They stay sharp longer than the stihl chains I had been using.I got them at Baileys and they were about half of what the stihl chains were costing.I know you have to add freight to that but there is usually something else I need so it spreads the cost out a little.

I think i'm going to try them .Which is closest design to the RSC chain from Stihl

I've been very happy with them. I've got a few loops of ripping chain and a loop of 24" semi-chisel. It is hard stuff to file, and holds an edge well. It does seem to file harder than Stihl, but not much.

I just got a couple 24" skips from Baileys and shipping was 9.95. 14.95 a piece for the loops. Figured I'd try the Woodsman Pro.
