XL2s

Little Homie XL2s for me. Had a boss that would buy them as climbing saws, he'd buy 'em in pairs because they were cheap and didn't last long. I'd get sick of yanking on one because they didn't want to run after they were hot and I'd fire it outta the tree into the brush at the bottom. After a few episodes of this I convinced him to splurge on a decent climbing saw, was still in service when I left.

Cheap, non-durable design, poor throttle linkage, crappy oiling system, would fail to start after much use................... Even gave Homelite a bad name.

Before you even start, take a chill pill .Those things will make a preacher cuss.

LOL, I didn't realise what you meant with that statement untill I worked on a compact Solo 645 last week. I received a parts saw 645 and dismantled it for use of some parts on my 644AV. Must admit that is one of the most uncovenient saws I have ever worked on. You must split the crankcase to get access to every major part of that saw. A technician's nightmare !!! :dizzy:

Worst Saw Ever

For me, the Mini Mac was the biggest PITA. As for the Homelite 330, mine (bought used) is still cutting just fine. I alternate its use day by day, cutting firewood with a Stihl 041 Farmboss (also bought used). Gene Gauss
