We have a morbark 18, 213 hp. The only problem wood is rotten, punky, wet logs. they clog the chute. We stuff trees and brush into this chipper with the grapple on the log truck. some guys can keep up with the volume, others just watch the feed wheels spin and smoke on the wood (WTF!). Our old BB 250xp (jd 125hp) chips everything well (under12") ergonomics are not the best.
Don't pass on them, just postpone till winter so you can stand to wear a full enviro suit and charge double or maybe even triple rate for the trouble.

Yuo that's pretty much what we do, a good hose to wet down the foliage keeps the itchy meanie dust a bay. But if its a must do task in summer its always best last thing then knock off the team home to the showers as a scratchy itch crew make poor chums for a long day.
Both. The brush isn't even brush, it's all brittle snapping twigs making a big mess for cleanup and the logs are useless, can't burn them and the chips stink. A load of alianthus goes right to the dump into the compost pile.
