if guns would not have been outlawed here, I would have owned more guns than saws... and spent a lot more $$$$ I guess.

saws are a lot cheaper than quality guns...

Man, Belgian, the first part of that quote still bothers me even though i know there are alot of countries that have "no gun ownership" laws. There are those in US that would love to do just that....it will always be a battle to preserve our ownership rights. I don't really collect, my saws and firearms are all for cutting or shooting. I'm not too much on shelf queens because i don't buy for investment.
I also want to collect 67-72 chevy trucks, but they cost more and take up a wee bit more space, so i only have a '68 & '72 at the moment.

Well i broke my big motor for the dragster at the end of the season i will be
spending enough to buy a fleet of saws .And i dont buy a lot of guns but
they all but a few cost more than my saws .

Generally no but it depends on the gun and the chainsaw. Note that the extra $$ I earn with my saws goes to buying guns.

Nope, I would spend more on mountain bikes and motorcycles than saws. As for guns, I will spend more on saws. Guns are lots of fun, but I don't use them as much as saws and I like cutting better. I guess that is what happens when you have sawdust in your veins.

I've got a ground-up custom 1911 on a Caspian frame that is worth 3 new Stihl 880s. I've got an old Ruger 10/22 that I only paid $75 for.

Saws and firearms...expensive (and addictive) hobbies.

Hard to say which is more useful, the gun brings in alot of food, keeps the crooks at bay while the saw heats the house, pays the bills, and buys the beer... Why do you have to ask such a hard question? I'd like to say I'd spend more on a saw right now since times are tough and a saw pays for itself faster, but when I'm workin a regular job I'd spend more on a gun prolly.

huh . . .seems i am in the minority here, my old man's the gun collector, if i want to play with guns i go to his house; if he wants to borrow a saw he comes to my house . . . it is a symbiotic relationship! i have enough guns (4) but i'll never have enough saws.

I paid more for all of my guns than for any of my chainsaws. My guns are probably worth 2-3 times what I paid for them now. My saws are worth about what I paid for them.

More on saws by a long shot, but they are how I make my living. I have less use for guns although I dont think I could stop collecting guns if I really got started. I do have 9 bikes.....now theres a weakness.
