All you gotta do is sneak in there after dark and take what you want!!!:laugh::laugh:

I've gotten lots of free wood that way - split and seasoned, too.

Kinda hard to go to the same place more than once, though, so make sure you load up good the first time. :innocent:

I note the "smileys' & assume it's said in jest but its unfortunately it's the way of the world at this time for a few abusers to spoil it for the rest a couple of years ago I had some surplus wood that was a bit "******" looking but burned well I put the word out it was free to anyone caring to collect it, it was cut into logs some of which needed splitting I put it near to the entrance to the property outside the gates my own supply was around the back of the property hidden from view of the gate My wife & I went away for the weekend to attend a wedding on return the "Free" wood had gone ( No Problem) but the lock was broken on the gate & approx 85% of my winter wood had also gone so to whoever tookit you did good one of but Bu****ed it up for every one else as I will not be giving any more "free"wood & 2 large dogs now patrol the grounds.

Or a 40 s&w with about 4 clips!!!
I just got nailed again yesterday. Truck tracks in the snow, all fresh. The truck ran over my end pallet holding split ash. Thief driver could not see the pallet that was covered with snow. I lost about 90 splits from the main stack that were drying in the sun. It's out of control. One of my friends recommended an Alaskan Malamute.

Dude..get a game camera. I'd think you'd like to be able to recognize the truck that's been trespassing on your property and stealing from you.

Or if he stole a split that had a hole drilled and filled with black powder and plugged up so you can't see it. not yer fault his stove blew up. be my luck it would maim or kill innocent women and children. Or the guy is really poor and will do anything to stay warm, so back to the camera it is. you know if he's in a new truck he ain't poor.

There are several thieves around here who get free firewood from my wood pile. They think nothing of it. I believe I need a good German Shepherd, backed up by a Rottweiler or a Doberman.
i would get a camera hide it catch the theives and put them in jail

Malamutes aren't guard dogs in the least, but are awesome anyway. I have a half Malamute/ half Corgi that acts like a Malamute just has his legs cut off. He's such an awesome dog and loves everybody. My biggest fear is that if we had an intruder he would jump in their truck like he did when the neighbor had a tree service come by. Any vehicle with a diesel, Joey is getting on board whether it's UPS FedEx, trash truck, tree monkeys or whomever.

Anyway sucks somebody stole your wood. For a guard dog, you want a GSD, Doberman, Rottie, or even a Great Pyranese. All great with YOUR family and friends, not overly aggressive, yet willing and able to repel an intruder at all cost.

I've only had wood stolen once and it was a "friend" whom had given me a ride home on New Years and asked for some wood. I said sure, back up to my pile but he insisted on coming by later. I left town a couple days later and my wood pile was decimated. Years later found out he was selling my wood.
