Steve,

I've been thinking about making one, an Alaskan style.

They certainly don't seem that complicated...some 1" or 1-1/4" square tubing would be the starting point.

Ever given thought to making one?

Andy

Thought about it, but I would like to have an aluminum one, and i don't have access to a Tig welder. Thought maybe someone out there had a used one collecting dust. I relize the Alaskan MKIII aren't that expensive to begin with.

BTW, I sent you a PM, That manual was not in the box.

Crap....

The guy at the UPS Store said it was...looks like I'll be talking to the manager.

I'll let you know if I can get it back.

Andy

If nothing else, I'll swing by Home Dizzle and try and talk them out of another one. You wouldn't be interested in the Spanish version, would you? They had a STACK of them the last time I was there.

Did you find a mill yet? I've got a homemade wood and aluminum mill (I didn't make it) you can have cheap. $30 bucks shipped to you.

I'll take it if he doesn't. I'd love to have a portable one. Mark

Tom, I'll take it, if you still have it. I could use it for a starting point, and then modify it to my needs. Let me know if you still have it.

Thanks
Steve

Go head Mark if you are interested. I haven't been on here much lately. the storm last week knocked out power for almost a week.

But, if he doesn't want it Tom, I said I would take it. I guess I was reading the PM's you sent today while you wrote this post. lol.
