I've been thinking about making one, an Alaskan style.

They certainly don't seem that complicated...some 1" or 1-1/4" square tubing would be the starting point.

Ever given thought to making one?

Thought about it, but I would like to have an aluminum one, and i don't have access to a Tig welder. Thought maybe someone out there had a used one collecting dust. I relize the Alaskan MKIII aren't that expensive to begin with.

BTW, I sent you a PM, That manual was not in the box.

If nothing else, I'll swing by Home Dizzle and try and talk them out of another one. You wouldn't be interested in the Spanish version, would you? They had a STACK of them the last time I was there.
