Hi Folks, I've been a long time lurker, but decided to finally take the plunge and sign up. My name is Jon, and by day, I'm an IT professional (work from home), but I’m also a weekend warrior firewood cutter. We heat our 2700 sq ft house almost exclusively with a wood stove, so my Echo CS-590 gets a regular workout. We burn in between 5-6 full cords a year.

I’m starting to take a keen interest in securing and rebuilding an older project chainsaw or two (pretty open on brand/model), and it seems there's a lot of good posts on here, so here I am!

I’m glad to join and look forward to learning and contributing.

Welcome Jon! I'm an IT guy from Michigan as well - McCullochs are my vintage saw of choice. You can pick up 10-10 saws pretty cheap, quite a few parts available and pretty easy to work on.
Thanks Doc Holliday! Always nice to meet a fellow Michigander! I'm in Shiawassee county. I'll check out the Mac 10-10; seems like I'm always hearing guys say those McCulloch's were a hardy saw.

Cheers!
