My dad never got hurt in 30 years of woodcutting and a bit of logging with no ppe. I'm the same with the exception that I do wear ear plugs. Seems to me it's the full time professionals who always get hurt.

Thall you are doing the right thing.

Be sure to show them how to drop start a saw! LOL

Hahaha, Treeco you dog, lololol. I must admit I drop started both of them saws and even so I did point out how they're supposed to be started. I'm too sick with a dayumm cold and feeling too ruff to be bending over today pulling chainsaw rope. Sides the air seems colder closer to the ground, brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr,:hmm3grin2orange: :hmm3grin2orange:

Yep it's all fun and games untill you lose a leg
BAH Hahahahahahahah

Yeah would be terrible to lose that "one" leg,(hehehehe)
Stepping on it is one thing, sawing it off is another, neither will ever happen,:hmm3grin2orange: :hmm3grin2orange:

I had the 7900 out of it's scabbard because I was tracking one of these: but the one in the earlier pic was all that was out that day. You know how that goes, Manual.

Hey Lake you sell alot of saws out there where your at, a lot more than me. How many saws verse chaps do you sell? Here its tuff to sell them for most just refuse to wear them. Hows the deal on chaps in Washington?

Note not to stir the pot or anything. .... .... That goes to prove what I said eariler, PPE is fine but most simply do not want it. I'm betting for every 50 saws I sell maybe one or two people will buy a pair of chaps. Thats just the way it is........

That's about the same ratio I get on the West coast. And I bet more than half of those are sold when the wife/girlfriend/father buys the saw as a present. yep.. Tough sale... and we try every time. Want to bet only 1 in 50 wears the FREE safety glasses we give them, and tell them to wear?

Same here. I sold a little MS250 to a lady a few minutes ago for the hubby for Xmas. She wasn't interested in whether he sawed off his "one" leg or not, no chaps. I reckon they've been married long enough now that it doesn't matter anymore. Only the newlyweds seem to want them chaps,:hmm3grin2orange: :hmm3grin2orange: :hmm3grin2orange:

He was wearing eye protection. So for me that is close enough.

The problem I had with his video; is that he was WALKING with a RUNNING saw, around wood and loose sawdust. The saw should have been turned off and a chain guard installed before moving. Also the lack of a safety rail and fall protection was clearly missing. Is the rubber sole on your shoes approved anti slip by OSHA?

I'm still wondering if the glue in the hair and the cig were OSHA approved... :hmm3grin2orange:
