His shoes were approved, but the wet grass and dog doo he stepped in weren't. I'm calling OSHA

Wait - that wasn't DOG DOOOOO!

Hahaha, good one. OSHA was just here, Sentem packing. Told em pencil pushing sissy's were't allowed in the shop unless they had full PPE on and steel toe shoes. Reason being they may actually drop their pencil and fall over picking it up,:hmm3grin2orange: :hmm3grin2orange:

Another vote for Thall/04 ultra

What's wrong with watching a video of a guy cutting wood? As opposed to watching what, golf?fishing? Thall's hobby is chainsaws (just like most of us). And I never were PPE except for glasses. But most of my cutting is on the ground w/fallen trees. And the music thing--cumon. The music could only be detrimental if it drowned out the sound of your wife ringing the dinnerbell! I guess maybe you would here the saw starting to run out of gas.

Don't sweat it Thall, I guess us Virginians are just a few sandwiches shy of a picnic.

Thall, I didnt go back and check which vids they were belly aching about. But did the one with the 5 gallon bucket wood stand make it for their viewing. :hmm3grin2orange: :D

Awwwwwwwwww got a home boy here, cool beans. I'm not sweating it, trust me on that. I see their point and all about wearing PPE but the thing is I wasn't sawing wood, I was just messing around, nothing more nothing less. Durn can't have no fun anymore, BS, I am, I'm from old school, give me the dayumm saw and get out the way. Old dogs stay on the porch, kids stay in the house, hand me a saw and look out, hehe.

What part of Va ya from???

Hahahaha, takes a smooooooooooooooooooth operator to pull off such a cut. Don't get me wrong, I'm guilty as they say I am about PPE but on the other hand I'd like to see them sawing some wood too. Only fair I get to look at those complaining and see if they can handle a saw as well as ole Daddy here, I'm betting NOT.

Wait until Ken finds my posts about cutting from a ladder... trouble will surely follow..

I vote for the laws to be changed - EVERY operator of a chainsaws must have FULL PPE, and it must be CLEAN (label says dirt will affect chaps..). I'd like to see this by June 2007, just long enough for me to get a warehouse or 10 full of PPE. Yipple, Xmas in June... (for Dealers).

You mean was sawing wood off a ladder, you dog you. Here I'm getting stung for sawing on the ground and your up on a ladder. I want a full investigation, let me call them OSHA sissy's back in here, lololololol

You forgot the Hearing Protection Dean

He was wearing eye protection. So for me that is close enough.

The problem I had with his video; is that he was WALKING with a RUNNING saw, around wood and loose sawdust. The saw should have been turned off and a chain guard installed before moving. Also the lack of a safety rail and fall protection was clearly missing. Is the rubber sole on your shoes approved

anti slip by OSHA?

:ices_rofl: :ices_rofl: :ices_rofl:

Just one?? Na... that's how "accidents" happen!!!:biggrinbounce2:

I'm witing his ticket up now. He won't make that mistake again. I'm charging him with lack of proper equipment and lack of inspection of the said proper equipment. He's ok though, I didn't charge him for improper use of the said equipment, gonna take his word on that and let it go at that,

You guys can do as you choose with a condom and your saws. I choose to keep mine far away from my saws. There is a reason that i don't have any kids yet....
