I'd give a call to Chris "Duke" or call the guys at customchainsawparts. Thier really good on the phone. There's nothing to mill out here. We just kill pine for paper and send all our logs to Canada. Oregon man, your right at the bottom of all the action. I've worked for construction companies that literally had piles of blown up demo saws in the corner. Wouldn't surprise me a bit if the same thing happens with those big logging companies.

It's been a lot of years since most of 'em ran these. For the bigger wood, the 056, 064,066 & the big Husky's all followed after the 1111's. Now, the logs you see ridin' down the road are mostly pecker poles that have been lopped off with modern saws & feller/bunchers. You can bet there's some layin' around somewhere & I may eventually find a couple, because once I run into something that I need & is hard to come by, my eyeballs are forever trained.

I've looked at all the stores, most of them have some 075/076 parts, but not the ones I need.

Hey, I was on the bay a while ago, & I saw a familiar lookin' 075 sitten' on a familiar lookin' parts washer.:)

Yep, thats how I fund my kids through college. I am unemployed right now so I'll do just about anything for a buck. Ive got 4 on there but with a total rebuild I'm not giving them away. Ive got a week into each saw. If i dont like something I tear it back down and do it a better way. I take alot of pride in my builds and have one to come back yet. I just dont throw them together and put them in a box. I wish I could keep the 075, I always wanted one. Now it goes my girls. I enjoy it. When I dont feel like working on a saw I put it back in the box and back on the shelf. Two days later when my bench is clean and I cant wait to get my hands on it thats when I pull it out and the fun begins. I love small engines. Its warm, dry, well lit, music, laptop, woodstove crankin, coffee, thats where I get my Zen on. Till summer then its Tuna time!!!

Does anybody have that little check ball, that goes under the oiler, that they could get a diameter measurement off of? I got a email back from the blokes in the UK. It seems the one in the kit took a "spring vacation". I was looking at a chart for shotgun pellets. Lots of different sizes, something should be close. Shot pellets should be perfectly round?

Sure I'll do it for you. I would say steel would be round. Lead is outlawed now anyway. Give me a day or so. Working now the going home to clean up 6" of snow

Thanks Rocky, absolutely no hurry.

The chart info specified that lead & steel were the same sizes. I thought that was odd, AFAIK lead pellets were outlawed a few years ago.

Hey, yer not going to tear a saw apart just for that, are ya?

Were friends but no I'm not going that far!! Lol! Unless you invite me fishing. Then we'll head up to Wash and grab all those 076 Supers and 090's just sittin around

towingace - will this work?

Well if he doesn't want it I,ll certainly give you fair price for it ;-) Towing ace I'll go measure your ball now, B

Ok, I came up with 4.00mm or .1575 in for the steel ball at the end of the spring. On Assembly I just dab it in a spot of grease and insert it into the hole to help it stay in place :)

I was thinking you might want this one RF, it has crank etc, if it isn't the right one let me know.
At this point I am going to build one saw rather than 2 and if any of you guys in this thread need something speak up.

Thats an 051 case. No manual oiler. Its definetely worth money but not to me,.. Please someone correct me if I'm wrong. I also need the 076 hand guard tabs for my next build. I'm going to try to find a high rise and go super!

How about using a brand new one and just flipping it over? I do have badges with no lettering left but they are by no means "nice" :)

I will grab a different one tomorrow and get you a pic. I would completely could use a flipped badge as long as it is niceish. Good thought

That is a beautiful saw. If that's the one just sold on eBay I talked to the builder Lee. What a great guy, humble, informative, the kind of guy you'd like as your neighbor. I hope to learn a lot from him.
nope this was a tailgate deal that I passed up I think he wanted 350 with the fully engraved bar and a new carb in the box and I was stuck at 300 and let it go back home with him, now I would pay that for the bar :(

Hey never fear. US East coast boys have cleaner ones than that on Our shelves. Little 090av on the tool cart waiting for a piston that's on back order for the last seven weeks, she's gonna be sweet right from BC Canada. 1422408859316.jpg1422408859316.jpg 1422409014669.jpg
