PLEASE???

:hmm3grin2orange: :hmm3grin2orange: :hmm3grin2orange: You've given me great advice andI can see the 056 is still highly regarded:cheers: . Jeff, you better hold onto that saw.

I think I'll be plenty happy with the 660. Plenty of smaller wood to busy myself with too. Who would have ever thought that 24" to 36" oak would be "small":dizzy: I'll send some picks as soon as I get back up to the woods. How do I embed them? I figured out how to attach but haven't gotten the embedding down yet.

Here's a MagII (not my current one, which is just for show) after taking the top off a Doug fir stump.

For embedding, click on the little box up in the AS toolbar with teh mountain and the sun, or whatever it is. It'll bring up a box, provided your browser doesn't block it, and you paste the url of your pic in there. Me, I attach a pic, then copy the link to it, and embed it, like this....

Meaning the rest of the woodpile? I don't have it. My wife took all the picks and cropped out the good stuff. Just have the kids. Lots of incense cedar in that pile though. Got it from a big burn area on the Eldorado NF. They finished salvage logging and had a bunch of burn piles ready to go. Most of what I got was dry as tinder. It had been dead standing for over 3-years and had just been felled last summer. Ran up the hill with a buddy and a big ol' flatbed. Got 3 cords in less than 3 hours. Gonna do it again in a couple weeks.

Was checking the AcresInternet site for 'BIG' saw specs, from 056-090 there are plenty of models that aren't what they seem Ex; 090 can have as little as 103cc and as much as 137cc, big difference, have to know what model your looking at to get what you want. It's worth looking into.

I believe they all are 137cc, except the 090G, which is 106cc as the 070.

You can have the saw, but can I have the name plate????

The last time I talked to our mutual friend who drives the white dump truck, he was looking to start making some of his own. He was going to buy the aluminum, and have them screen printed. I've not heard anything further than that.

Could be a money spinner. I bid on a good rear handle with a clean name plate a couple of weeks ago. My piggy bank wasn't nearly fat enough. Went for best part of $70 I think.:dizzy:

Seems one can buy a complete saw for that in Canada if you know where to look:jawdrop:

It's happening... But I want yours ;)

I just gave him a brand spanking new 056 Super name plate for the NOS saw he's building up right now.. All new parts....

In the fall of 1992 I went to college to play baseball. After fall ball and making the team I ran out of money - left school on a Thursday when the semester let out.
On Friday morning I was bumping knots for Croman Corp. (helicopter logging) running a Stihl 056 AV, don't know if it was a Mag or not.
On Friday night, I could barely move my back hurt so bad - so I drank more beer on the way home in the crummy.

No moral to this story, but I miss baseball and I have ran an 056.
