Hi everybody,
I'm new to this board as a member, however I have for months read this forum. It is the direct cause of my relapse in chainsaw addiction.
Approx. 6 months ago, I needed a chain saw, only cut small stuff, here there is little big wood to cut. I purchased a used Husky 136. It is adequate for my needs around here. Next I happened upon a Stihl 066. Excellent condition, 36" bar. I put a 20" bar on it so I could get more use out of it. It also was used, paid 250 for it.
One week ago, I located and purchased an 088, with a 42" cannon bar, .404 chain. Also in excellent condition. That set me back less than 500. This saw looks rediculous cutting a 14" pine!
My wife will not let me bring these into the house, she doesn't understand. Where does this end? I'm already looking for a mid size saw.
Thanks for all this forum has done. It is a great info source, and by reading posts daily, I can tell it is comprised of a group of great people with the same addiction.
