the current price of OEM oils steered me away from them 2.49 for a 1 gallon bottle 5.49 for 2.5 gallon and 9.99 for 5 gallon mix and i switched to lucas yeah it lacks stabilizers
but when a quart is 9$ and a gallon is 26$ you understand the savings.

hey 5 bucks is 5 bucks over time that adds up.
I was smilin, I like a little savings too!

i need to send you some walmart supertech outboard oil and see if that stuff will hold up lol.

Built a 395 for a local logger that runs that oil, swears by it.:popcorn2:

Lots running Lucas, they make good reasonable priced oil.

Last oil thread I bought into got me in trouble. I bought a liter of motul 800 2-T and was running my ported saws at 32-1. My Husky dealer said the AT may not be able to compensate for that much oil.

After 4 hours of run time the plug was fualed and had a lot of build up on top of the piston.

certain brands of gasoline will do that too. use a premium nationwide brand as it contains more detergents and cleaning agents than cheaper grades of gasoline.

I've only been running non ETH 91 octane from BP for years. I'm lucky there's 2 stations within 15 minutes that carry it.

some type of newer fuel for small planes it has less lead than 100ll and cost less but it is hard to find.
its a big hit here with the classic car guys.

they got decent oil and gas available if you look for it now if they still made a decent gas can.

Red armor all the way I got a 6 pack of 2.5 gallon mix for the price of a 6 pack of premium beer
Now that's a thread topic for ya. What is the best oil I can get for the cost of a 6er of the swill I usually drink?

i switched to lucas as well. don't care about it's lack of stabilizers cause i go through it fast enough anyways. it's not an oil for dummy's though cause even at 32:1 it looks very close to straight gas ;)

yeah with my older poulans a long day in the woods my saws can drink some gas so im not worried about it either in a good week in the spring i can burn 10 gallons of premix.
