Hmm, A 192T? in 14" or so wood? Keep in mind, that 200 has seen allot of hours. Put a couple thousand hours on your 192 then get back to me.

I really doubt it will last that long. lol

BTW, I see your little sneaky comment hidden in there.

Yeah, it is hardly a 192 anymore. :)

I've got another one to play with and I'm going to see if I can take this one even farther. I really wish Stihl had not put that stupid little milled out area on the top edge of the exhaust port.

You are really jumping right in with that lathe, your parts you are turning out are looking real good.

Here is a vid of the last one I did. It is stock with muff mod. some of you may have already seen this one.

200T is top-dog out there for 2" - 6" stuff, leaned to rev for short sharp bursts, it's dynamite, effortless, perfectly suited. For 10" - 12" stuff, yeah, it'll cut, but 50 cc is so much less stressed.

Try the 12" 1/4 pitch setup (assuming it's available over there) and feel the 200T's real potential regarding weight, balance, agility and power. Good luck on the hot-rodding, they're pretty maxxed out as stock, should still be an extra bit of bite lurking in there

Yes, I'm hoping to find a little more in this saw, but ya there isn't much room for improvement.

Good stuff! Will be awaiting finished results!

If wondering "how far can you muffler mod a 200?" ... our answer:

General%20stuff

The other half of the cover was still with it, all rattling around under the saw. Fastest running 200 we had! (until we replaced the muffler) ...Normally, pull the screen and drill (3) 5/16" holes next to where you pulled the screen out, on every 200 we have.

So when you head toward a muffler mod for your finished 200 .... you may have more room than you think??? -lol-

Wow, that muffler is pretty hurting!!

Little update. Got the powerhead together today. So far its been treated to new crank seals, new fuel line and filter, new updated tank vent, new mounts, new impluse line, have a new intake boot ready to go on. Just need to get a lower rubber handle mount and I think that's it.

man that saw looks way easier to work on than the homelite super 2 I got on my bench. you have to take the whole thing apart just to get to the carb

You need to get your brush out and clean up the 'grill' around the recoil on that 200.:)

Talking 200T's, here's some vids of a 12" bush setup, a contract pruning saw. Stock engine running a walbro non-accel pump( ie - non problem) carb off an 023, muffler restrictor removed, 1/4" 7 tooth sprocket.

Pic is of a typical pine forest in NZ, the trees are around 6 years old in the pic. The 020T/200T's are the standard No 1 choice pruning saws here

pgg, that is beautiful country there. That thinning work actually looks like it would be fun to do.

Err,,, when the mist sets in, when the rain comes down, when the block gets steep, when the scrub gets thick, when the wind really starts howling, when the sawdust gets in your eyes... 'fun' seems to drastically disappear...

You mean it isn't like that everyday? That dashes my dreams right there. LOL
