Matt, it has nothing to do with the fact that us Americans don't believe in Alien life forces( some alleged continents outside our border), it does have something to do with the fact that you guys sound funny and drive on the wrong side of the road. What's up with that?. We could get along better if you guys admitted your cars look funny. :):)

Sound funny?

That's only because we are the most natural sounding! :) Take singing for instance. Most nations accent changes when singing but ours doesn't hence our natural sound! At least our accent doesn't change from the south to the north :)

Driving on the wrong side of the road?

Once upon a time most Nations used the left. Over time some changed for one reason or another, so they are the ones driving on the wrong side of the road!

Where's my pizza?

Angelo, the only funny cars we've made are the ones for your market, (that Pontiac nose on the Commodore and Monaro were shockers, at least they haven't fiddled with the Statesman too much for the Police Caprice) and as for accents, at least someone from Tasmania can understand someone from Far North Queensland, but can someone from New England really comprehend a bloke from Texas ? :p

A lot of people in the US refuse to believe there are even continents outside the US ;)

when i was in korea there was a standard joke going round, I cant remember the exact wording of it, but it went something like....

An american, a japanese and a north korean are sitting around watching a TV news report about fishing which says "if we keep fishing the oceans at the current rate, there may be no food left for other countries within 5 years."

The japanese guy says "what does it mean 'no more'?"
The north Korean guy says "what does it mean 'food?"
The american guy says "there are other countries?"

you Aussies are the best !
True brothers in Spirit. Even some gentle ribbing never evokes harsh re-actions. Feel free to ask me if you guys ever need anything shipped back from the States.

I believe the reasons most (American)sellers avoid international sales is because of the lack of recourse in the event of legal issues.

Al,
your pizza will be ready in 10 minutes !!!

hi all,
Im looking at a 2 saw plan, I had a 192t and an 044 but the 192t is being replaced with a 200t and Im wondering whether I ought to look at something other than my 044. If i was going to have a 3 saw plan I'd probably look at 200t, 361, 660 but I really dont have room for 3 saws.

That leaves me with 2 saws, a 200t plus one other saw. I dont do tree work full time, I'm actually a builder. But I do on average 1-2 take downs a month, mostly tricky stuff suspended over houses and they need to be taken down branch by branch then chunked down. As such I dont do a lot of the traditional fell/limb/buck. most of my limbing and bucking is done in the tree ;)

Im in aus, and about 60% of my tree work is pine which is considered to be a weed locally. The rest is native australian trees, mostly gums. I leave a 24" bar on my 044 most of the time and have a 36" that gets me out of trouble on the bigger stuff.

What do I want? A saw that's lighter and more powerful of course! Would be great if it weighed as much as a 361 but had the power of an 090 ;-) I want something with a bit more zip than the 044 even though its grunty. weight is definitely an issue, a day of trunking down 2'~3' trunk hanging in a harness doesnt do much for my back and wrists.

would a 460 be much of a gain on an 044? should I be thinking 660? something else?

thanks!
Shaun
The 192 is the only saw that is not made in Germany. I have all of the saws that are currently made in germany, including 88. 192 I like the least because of lack of torque compared to 200T, also seems to have more mechanical failure including carb replacement. 441 has more torque than 440 and in the same weight range. I run 20 in on 440,441. 25 in on 46. 30 in on 66 and 40 in on 88. 12 in on 192, 200T, and two models of motorized pole saws. CTC
