Hah! Finally, another Echo user.

All I need is to add either an Echo or Stihl climbing saw to the two I already have. But ultimately, it would be nice to have two of each (for back-up):

2 Echo/Stihl climbing
2 Echo 450P
2 Stihl 441 (I would've picked the 461 but the MTronic wooed me)

I haven't cut anything bigger than 42"-44" DBH so don't really need a much bigger saw than the 441.

Once you run saws with heated handles in the colder weather, you won't buy another without the feature, trust me on this.

Ha ha why would i ask my mom if i can buy another saw? No wife only girlfriend, and she lets me buy whatever i want providing i buy something for her also. If and when she is my wife i guess that will change! Regarding saw purchases, right now i have only myself to convince. I just thought that maybe i had enough saws right now.

My 361 is used 60% of time. It is MM and it have 440 carburator. Chain is .325 16 inch and 9 pin sprocket. For rest of the stuf is 460 with 25. I have 241 for my dad. He is older and he wont let anyone to touch her.

I'm a husqvarna man.
I even tried husky stihl dolmar 50cc and 60cc
But i prefer the performance and capabilities of the 66cc and up
And bar compatibility.

The 201 wears a 16 3/8 LP. 461 runs 28 or a 32. The 395 starts with a three footer and goes on up from there.

I’d take two ported 50 CC Huskys like 346 or 550. One wearing a 16” and the other 20”

And a 70cc Husky, Stihl, or Dolmar/Makita for falling/bucking the occasional big wood.

Pole saw is handy. 350 is the workhorse. 357 for grins and giggles.

For me, 50cc, 70cc, 90cc is about perfect for a non-climber. I just don't see the need for something smaller than a 50cc personally....my 261 is so light with an 18" lightweight bar on it. There's no need to give up the HP for only slightly less weight.

I'm a stihl fanboy, but mainly because of the dealer support in my area. So I would go, 261, 462, 661. I would have no problem running Husqvarna if that's what the closest quality dealer was. I'd to 550, 572, 595 probably.

Now, if i absolutely had to include my top handle in one of the 3 saws...it would be 200t, 462(with 20" & 28"), 661. Actually, I could do 99% of my work with just the 200t and the 462. Light enough with a 20" lightweight bar to do just about anything and powerful enough for felling even very large trees.

3-small saw plan: Echo 2511T, Echo 346, Echo 361P.

3-medium saw plan: yet to be determined, but I'm thinkin 3 Poulans: either the 3500 or the Craftsman 3.7 thin ring, yet to be obtained 2900, and the 3400 with 3800 top end.
But I could put the 3800 top end on the 3.7, and move it along. And the the 61cc thin ring top end on the 3400(which has to be kept for sentimental reasons). So....: 2900, 3500, and 3400 w/ 61cc thin ring top end.

And my one small-big saw plan: Husky 372XP.

I'd really hate to be without the little 2511, and at least one lightweight 35cc rear handle saw like the 361P, and at least one light-middleweight 42 to 50cc saw, and at least one bigger saw in the 60-70cc range. So theoretically I could get down to four...not counting my pole saw.

Oldass tread, but a good one. I'm using a AWOL 550xp for most of my cutting now, with a couple ported 346s.

I will pull out a ported 357xp or 562xp when the wood gets much over 20".

I could be just fine with a couple good ported 50cc saws and nothing else.
