ok guys a ''hypothetical'' question if you had 40k and you had to spend it what would you buy for the business??

Half of a Spiderlift. Or,a whole chipper and half of a chip truck. Or maybe I'd just keep doing trees until the money was alll gone. :help:
Phil

F-350,single axle dump trailer, new saws and a stumper......Prolly pay up some advertisin fer awhile and then just work my a$$ off.

All depends on what you need. It should be obvious to you as a business owner what could be added to the business to make it more profitable.

If I had 40k to spend I wouldnt spend it since I dont need any equipment at this time that can be had at that price. In the future I would like a crane (100k) and a knuckle boom truck (80k).

As John said its tough to make suggestions not knowing what you need.

BUT.....

SC1102a Grinder
TX60 Grinder
BC1800XL w/winch
Log Truck
High capacity chip truck
Down payment on a Crane
Skid Steer
Spray rig

play safe

Thought the same thing a few times rolla,40k gets a bit of equipment in the US

40k for equipment and gear would be almost a dream shopping week for me. It would go something like this:

2000 for new/more ropes, biners, slings, friction savers, and blocks.
1500 for a 372/385xp and a 200t
2500 for a GRCS
500+ for arboricurtural books
2000 for advertising
10k for a used 3/4 or 1 ton truck, convert to dump box bed.
10k for a decent used 6-9" chipper
10k for a decent used stump grinder.
1500 left, I'm sure it'll get more than used up somewhere, if I had it left, add it to advertising, or maybe get another saw or two.

Put it down on;

- 2007 F-350 pickup, 4x4, diesel, plow
- 2007 F-550 11' chip dump, 4x4, diesel
- 2007 F-750 75' rear mount bucket.
- 2007 Morbark 15 w/ winch
- 2007 Carlton SP7015
- 2007 Some new saws & other smaller equipment
- Then take out a loan to cover the rest :D :D
