I've never extended a warranty,hell if they wanted to knock off $25 i would even leave the 2 year manufacture warranty there too.

You really should, if what happened was due to a known issue with the model in question.

If you are a Husky dealer, there aren't too many models with known issues though, basically only the 339xp, 338xpt and other saws in that "family".

Small saws with tiny carbs tend to mean issues, just look at all the issues with the MS200/200T, and of course the ill-fated MS201/201T. Time will tell how the T540xp is.....
