Here's a serious question for you guys. How many people in here that argue over weight and performance of saws actually need their saws to survive or to get a job done or for their paycheck.

It seems that our interest in saws as a hobby has made people disagree. It's the nature of people to defend what they like, rather than what they need.

I am a contractor by trade. I trim/revove trees, and cut firewood for my income in the winter. I cut White Oak for firewood, it's 90 miles each way where I get my wood. Hills and thick timber, you walk in with a saw and carry the wood out. Very hard work! I want the lightest posible saw to do the jod as fast as possible. I spend three hours cutting, three hours on the road then come home and split it! I want saws that are light, powerful, and reliable! There is no where to get parts, have it all, or go home with nothing! I LOVE my Husky 350, that is hands down the BEST bang for the buck saw you can buy, PERIOD!!!! Runs great, good fuel usage, and easy to get parts for. I am growing to like the 346xp in the same way, I always wanted a 353, but got a great deal on the 346 I couldn't pass on. The second best money I spent on a saw was the 046BB, not something I like to run all day, but I can! It will scream through Oak with a 32" bar, pull it without bogging in Hedge, and is unstoppable with the 25" bar. The thing I disslike about that saw is it's VERY thirsty! 15-20 min. run time, but man can you cut some wood with that sucker in that time!
Good enough?

Yeah, that was a real good explanation as to why you prefer the saws you do!

The above quote is true for just about any pro...Alot of people do not realize that ten hours a day behind a saw will turn you into jello, and an extra pound feels like ten by the end of the day.

Love it. Unless I figure I need the bigger saw, it's the first one I grab. The heated handles have a little to do with it. ....

That's the saw that I want to get for the Witch, but some people here are still talking about the Dolmar PS5100SH, and she listens to them....:bang: :bang: :ices_rofl: :ices_rofl:

357 in trees

Timberhauler those 357's screem, got one that had a woodsport job on it... Puts a smile on my face when I cut with it.
We have used our 357's for a few cuts up in the trees but find that a 346xp with a longer bar works best
Have you run a 346 doing work?
Happy Buzzing
