Nice video.....I can't wait until I get to use that 357 up in a tree so I can see how she really feels doing it's intended job.Like mentioned earlier,I never thought I would be so impressed with such a little saw..

That just makes me want the 357xp even more!!!! Are the pre-etech models getting scarce? None of my local dealers stock the 357xp so I'm wondering if the availabiltiy is dependent upon the distributor. I do like how the new models have the manual decomp like the 359.

Your dealer is crazy! I don't sell that many of them, but couldn't imagine not stocking it. Here's one for ya though since while we on the topic of comparing saws...since they're all priced very close...take your pick of 357xp/362xp/570? I'd like to hear what you guys think on that one(i've never run a 362)

....
357.....WOW!!!....I never thought I would be so impressed from a saw this small. It smokes my 280 and 260,and is light as a feather..It is slightly heavier than the 260,about the same as the 280. ....

It actually is heavier than the MS361, also.........:yoyo: :yoyo:

We like hands on reports with fuel and oil at working levels Troll. Who really cares what a saw weighs without fuel, oil, chain, bar. Throw the book spec crap in the fire for heat.
I am pretty sure these pros and homeowners walk around with fuel, oil, chain, bars in and on their saws. NOT walking around with empty power heads LOL.

:ices_rofl: SAWTROLL is giving neg REPS :ices_rofl: because he cant handle the truth. Burn the book nonsense Troll. This was a hands on thread, not something out of a book Troll. LMAOAU.

Yep, but the cutting attachment, and the amount of fluids, are your own choise..........:bang: :bang: :ices_rofl:

Yep, and it is the first one in a long time - I don't approve of your "copycat" posts.........:notrolls2: :deadhorse: :deadhorse:

I have no issues with RAH...s stance, but I haven't liked your ways lately........

Sorry Dad.:hmm3grin2orange: But I dont see one CC in this thread, and this thread was people using saws and telling their likes and dislikes, not reading it out of a book like you do TROLL.:biggrinbounce2:

I've never ran a MS361 or a 357XP. I've have picked both saws up and handled them at the same time, both had 20" b&c. I couldn't tell the difference in weight at all. Neither saw had mix or bar oil in then. Add mix and bar oil and I don't think anyone could tell the difference without a scale.

I will say that I also handled a MS361 with a 20" b&c and a 2156 with an 18" b&c at the same time. The Johnny Red definitely felt lighter then the MS361. As I just mentioned the Johnny Red did have a two inch shorter bar, but the weight difference was notable to me.

 :givebeer: :jawdrop:

This is like your left hand fighting with your right hand! The "best" info in my opinion are published specs AND feild tests! One without the other is a lack of feedback!

Sawtroll wouldn't agree............only spec for him!!!!!!

Hey Rahtreelimbs, I told you I could break him first. You could see his sensitive side in some of his post, so i knew how to go about it. He is leaving Neg Rep points it got to him so bad. oh well, guess he didnt like his turn in the barrel. LOL
So you can mail me that case of oil we had in the bet and make mine klotz super tech please.

I so agree too.
Just some loose contact with reality reading from book specs ALL THE TIME and forget people use saws with bars, chains, gas, oil.

Ok, then here's my take on this. I am a very number oriented person. I like stats and comparing them, but there is a point where they don't translate to the real world.

I recently got to use my 441 a 372 a 7300 and a 440 on the same day. I know mine is heavier, or so the specs say. Trouble is though, that without a scale I couldn't tell any difference between any of them weight wise. They were all also very close in usable power, dispite the ratings. I was glad I had already chosen the 441 because it feels the best to me, regardless of the specs.

Isn't that what really matters? I don't care what 100 books say, if what I like works best for me.

Very well said. Gave you a +1 for it.
