I mostly cut oak and I have a sharp chain idk if it's just the autotune or it just revs so high maybe that's why it eats so much gas
I have a 455 rancher with auto tune! after just 37 hours on it it was getting hard to start and when it did the fumes were very strong of fuel! it had to be re calibrated in the carb from winter when I bought it and broke it in, to summer use and dryer warmer temps!! after that I have not had any issues with the auto tune with a second winter gone an using it to do part of a 12 cord cut..... auto tune is a fussy little britch with a dirty air filter, be warned!!

Chucker, curious as to how the re-cal was performed/accomplished?

I run super vp premixed fuel

Pre-mix is pricey around here (appx. CDN $10 per litre), so if I was running that exclusively, I'd be unhappy with any saw. I run pump gas 91 octane with no ethanol (about CDN $1.15 per litre) at 40 to 1 mix and I'm guessing I can buck up a couple of 35'x20" logs on one tank pretty easily with my 60cc 562xp.

Not sure if you have an issue with your saw but you might get it checked out just to put your mind at ease.

I'm gonna have to start mixing my own fuel lol

Here, you can check for your location

And I use the Lucas air cooled as well for mix oil, good stuff, less than 10 bucks a quart. I run 32:1, 4 oz per gallon of gas, easy to remember, makes good power and keeps everything good and lubed, top end and bottom end.
