John

Well John I waited up for ya but you as usual ran off on me, why ya always do that John? I never did figure out what ya beef was but I'm not gonna worry much about it though. You have a good day tomorrow John, drive safe to work ya hear, stay between the lines, no weaving. When ya running them Stihls ya company has you think of me John, ya hear. I'll think of you John everytime I run my Dolmars, hehehehe
BTW I named my 880 after you John, I call it Big John, odd huh, naming chainsaws after people, almost as bad as naming people after chainsaws huh, wink!

Shop owner was probably just a dummy and actually ordered a bunch of 650s thinking they'd be a popular saw, now he can't sell them because everybody wants a 660, so he took away the alternative by saying he won't carry them.

Ya know... after a quick look at the specs, I don't see why the 650 even exists. Same weight and features as the 660, with slightly less HP. No thanks.

I bought one last year just to comapre it with my 385 husky's.....It's no secret that I prefer husky's,but own both and this saw does have an edge over my 385's.I can hardly tell it's slower than a 660.I like it,and when it needs a top end,I'll probably put the top end on it from a 660....It exists because because they wanted a saw in the 85cc class.

FWIW, the other day I asked my Stihl dealer if they ever sell any 650s. They said the only time the ever did was right after Katrina, but those were about all they could get for a while. I suppose all the models people actually ask for sold out pretty quick, and since FEMA was reimbursing people for new chainsaws, nobody minded paying the big bucks for 650s.
