I agree, I don't know why anyone would buy a 461 for the meager price difference, unless they needed a smaller saw. Before I chose the 661 I looked at the prices on all the 4.4hp+ Stihl saws and the 660/661 is the saw with the best "value" price/hp/weight.Generally, the dealer is REQUIRED to fuel it and test that it runs before it leave the shop.
I'm actually very surprised at the prices of the 661. Compared to a 461 (which is a great saw but lacks many new features) and 660s, I think it is very reasonably priced.
