Thats how it goes sometimes. I do all of my serious bidding the last 26 seconds of the auction, until then i'm just playing the game to see how far others will go. I have already decided what I will give for a item long before the auction end. I wish I would have seen that 026, probably just needs a jug and piston.

Mike are you having a bad day?

I would almost agree with Mike. Out of the box they are pretty doggy. After you put a adjustable carb on, do the muffler, and play with the filter they rip pretty good. Why bother though when the 346 kicks ass out of the box?

No, it was a hot one here, for wisconsin, it got above freezing.:)
I really don't like th 026.
I'm exposed to a lot of different saws, this is hands down the worst saw I've ever run. It has no appeal. It is unbalenced, heavy, vibrates the crap out of you, lacks power, is unreliable, needs considerable modification just to be "not that bad", and costs a lot.
If somebody said, "Here's a free 026, you can use it all you want, you can't sell it or loan it out though." I'd say no thanks.

Wow good deal

That guy got a hell of a steal on that unit. How much do you think thats worth if the jug and piston are bad?
Take care,

Let's see what she looks like when you get her, good luck! I saw an 026 a while back, for $75 buy it now, with a picture and looked in real nice shape, needed a jug. Gone by the time I read his feedback. I wonder how many of these 10 min or less transactions go by on a weekly basis. Mike

I work for tree services because I mostly enjoy the tree work. I don't want to be a businessman, nor do I want the headaches associated with running a business.
Tree care requires knowledgable practitioners too, not just owners. In fact, that is the main problem with larger businesses, the owners and management may know lots, but the workers are not that good.
The larger the business the worse the tree care gets, because the more kowledgable workers float up out of practicing, and become management, then the idiots do the actual work. I believe I'm an asset to the companies I serve because I defy this norm, I don't want to float up into management.
Someday, when I'm too old to do the actual work, then I may be forced to start a tree care business. Trust me though, I'm not looking forward to it.

Got the 026

Jensen 2000,

I got that 026 the other day and was happily impressed. I'm not sure who told him that it was locked up. It ended up being a screw that was caught behind the flywheel that would only allow the flywheel to turn about a 1/2 rotation before it would jam.

I took the flywheel off and removed the screw. I then dumped some gas in the carb and fired it up. It looks like it has hardly been used at all.

The only thing that the seller didn't mention is that it is missing the following items: 026 top cover, air filter cover, bar cover, gas and oil cap. The fuel line also needs to be replaced.

So if anyone has any good 026 plastic laying around please let me know.

Take care,
Brad
