after having rented that exact kind of stump grinder multiple times, I see why you're willing to stick your bar in the dirt. Those lil grinders just can't do justice to a big stump. They're for 12" diameters max.My suggestion is get a bigger grinder or subcontract the big ones to someone who has one.
I bought an old vermeer 222 for $1900. It paid for itself in less than a month.
