Stihl Sawing, what's up with the pics? I see them on both my home PC and my phone. They're hosted and linked like I always do them. Did something change here on AS, or is something messed up on my end? Thanks for your help.

I saw your photos fine Brad. Maybe SS just liked your saw twice as much as you?

Do a little digging there is a website with pdf's of the IPL's for Alpina's if you can get a part number I MIGHT be able to get one.

It's very difficult to even find info on these saws. It looks like the A90 filter is different from the A70 filter. I think the PN is 8890270. ANY help I could get locating one would be awesome:rock:

Parts for these are extremely difficult to come by. They weren't that popular here in North America and the distribution network was poor. Your best bet is to find a retired dealer or the family of one who has parts left over. I've seen NOS parts on Trademe in New Zealand and once in a great while on Ebay.au but never here in the states. I lucked out once when I was restoring a Forest Pro 120 and found a retired dealer who had two NOS air filters and a NOS full-wrap handle, but that was the extent of his parts.

An A-90 is a great find for sure and they are very rare. They weren't good sellers back in the day.

Thats a great find Brad, I've been looking for an Alpina 90
for awhile with no luck. I saw one on ebay a while back but
a good friend wanted it so i let it go.
Like Jacob said, Parts are very hard to find. Much easier to
find in AU. Thats where my first 120 came from and my NOS
120 came from New Zeland.

Not sure whats up with your pic's but all i got was red X's
till they were put up by stihl sawing.

I was hoping that you would chime in, JJ. I saw where you where inquiring about these years ago. Can you, Lee, or anyone else, confirm if the filters are the same or different on the 70, 90, and 120? I found a PN of 3781030 for the 70, and a PN of 8890270 for the 90.

So is saw worth big money and I let brad have it for beans? Just kidding Brad we had that discussion already LOL. I really wanted someone to get it that would appreciate it. I figured if we didn't get it someone would buy it from the pawn shop and totally trash it.
