Peter, Richen the high side up a tad. The saw sounds like
it's screaming and not four stroking at all. There is also no
need to use a tach on a vintage chainsaw. I tune all mine by
ear. The saw needs to four stroke at wot and clean up in the
cut.

I had a chance to richen up the Big 10 today by a 1/4 of a turn

How to measure vintage chain. Lines are 12" apart. 7 through 15 T on chart are for drive links per foot.

11 different pitches 1/4, .325, .354, 3/8, .404, 7/16, 1/2, 9/16, 5/8, 3/4, 7/8.

Here is one for sale. Unfortunately they don't have the odd sizes like .354 or 7/16.

Thanks! Original paint, not sure about the bar could very well be the original though as the saw does not look like it's done much cutting.

Just picked this up off of eBay.

@blsnelling pictures inspired me to do a restoration. Going to change the color up a little. Stay posted.

Picked these up and a stihl 051av for $50. All run, with bars. Also found a homelite 150 and a stihl 031av out next to someones garbage can on garbage day along the highway. Both have great compression. And a mcculloch bar with cool engraving of the name with geese around it. Post a pic of it when i get a chance. What a great thanksgiving!
