Look what I found...

First saw is a Homelite EZ6, I believe its a 1957, turns over, sparks, does not start, and obviously has recoil problems

Second is a Homelite XL-1, not sure on the year, starts like a charm. Its a mean little bugger

Yay for weird canadian saws. Going to make a thread about finding parts/knowledge for fixing the EZ6

That chain actually looks kinda cool but that's a good place for it. Safety chain is what I usually call, " Anti Cut " chain. :)

Still waiting for Rocket to come and trade me sumptin good for this 620.

My dad recently gave me a Lombard Model 34 that he's had sitting around for awhile. He said it was running when he put it away a few years ago. I just started breaking it down to clean, repaint, and restore. The only everything looks to be in great shape except for a hole in the fuel tank, but I'll be able to pop that out and fix it before I paint it.

For what it's worth r.e. safety chain with the shark fin will bore cut.
Had a new loop of it on a Pro Mac 700 at Iowa GTG. Just for grins I shoved it thru an 18" log. Surprised to poop out of me.[emoji15]

That old school safety chain actually cuts very well and you can bore cut with it but I really never used it on my real work saws. They all got the good stuff, .404 C6EJ back in the day but most have Stihl chisel on them now.

Gentlemen,

I would like to take a poll and see what you guys would recommend.
My 08s an attached image. I wanted to customize it to make it my own. I want to paint the top cover (originally orange) black and the rest of the saw (gas tank, bar tank, handle, etc) white. Lettering will be black. I just want a few color recommendations.

Jet Black/Cream (I'm leaning towards this one, the cream makes it look vintage)
Traffic Black/Traffic White

Let me know. Thanks guys.
