Bah Humbug, Husqvarna 350 rebuild questions. coil wires

Good guidance and great photos. Tough to visualize what is under the black shrink wrap. Has the black ground wire been stubbed short and then spliced to the blue wire?

don't think they are spliced, 2 separate wires

The black wire from the top coil mounting bolt is the "ground". It travels to the shorting bar that is press fit into the red kill switch assembly. The blue wire comes from coil spade terminal, positive or hot, and runs through the black heat shrink tubing that insulates the female spade terminal that goes on the that shorting bar. Blue is not hooked to black here. Blue continues over to the red switch body and terminates into an uninsulated flag terminal, slid in sideways to red switch body. 2 separate wires from coil connections to kill switch assembly.

Yeah... I got pretty intimate with this series as I rebuilt 3 of these chassis this last summer.
