The Champ
Had a customer bring in a old Dolmar a few months ago. Wouldn't run, looked like it been sitting for years. He asked if I'd take a look at it even though we're a Stihl business. I cleaned up the old saw, put a Stihl gas filter in it, added some Stihl fuel hose to replaced the rotted one and she fired up. Adjusted the carb and she ran nice. Sharpened the chain and she was ready to go. Charged him 33.75 for it all. He came and picked it up and was delighted on how well it looked and ran. A few weeks later he stopped by to let me know the Dolmar was working great and to let me know too it would outcut his Stihl 029. I said cool, can't beat that. He laffed and went on. Today he came in and dropped $700.00 for a MS361, a case, extra chains, mix oil, the whole nine yards. When he left I said you know that 361 is going to outcut that Dolmar, he said cool, can't beat that. We both laffed and out the door he went. Anyone know the moral of this true story?????
