Bar Comparisons

Hey Guys!

Looking at getting a 28" bar for the Johnny Red. Just wondering if you guys had any arguments as to which route i should go. Running a 24" total super bar right now. Look forward to hearing your thoughts.

What Johny Red?

I sell Total Super bars (not over net). They give good service. Loggers are getting about six chains or so out of a bar.

Are they .50 gauge?

Hello,I upgraded your 920 with the newer studs(2094,2095)style,last time you were up, so if you order a 28" bar ,get it for a 2094.and they are .058 gauge. Seth

I find that stihl brand bars last a long time. I've gotten anywhere from 6-10 chains wore out before a bar wears out. Longer if you get the replacable tip. (That does not include total annihilation of the bar due to bending. Just normal wearing out).

Oragon bars are about equal to stihl brand. Though I have less experinace with those.

I've never owned a Total super bar. If they are the same price as stihls in your area, then, I dunno......
