I use 550 cord for the loose or odd fit. Drill a hole at the open end, side seems to work best

Posted these before. I mentioned the ‘tethers’ on the pole saws, if concerned about them falling off.

. A slip knot or plastic sliders does it. Loop to what ever is convenient.

I think that this has always been required for wildland fire fighters who carry the saw on their shoulders. I am not sure that this would apply to volunteers who don't carry the saw on their shoulders.

We were told that the reg applies to all who are working on FS projects. One of our crew members actually purchased a "approved" cover -- for over $200! It is one that is being used by wildland firefighters, but I'll have to find out who makes it, and sells it!

Been using and pleased with TrueNorth covers over the years carring saws for trail work. Have a pad for shoulder and cover the dogs. The rubber can rest against the hot muffler fine. Our trail organization also uses them.

TrueNorth There is also pockets that I keep scrench and 2 or 3 chains and maybe cloth small brush. For older saws carry bar nuts e-clips.

Nice! what width is that hose (top to bottom) ?
