Thanks for all the info. This would be in feb. Time frame. I've got so much dead ash and beech on my property I have to buck this winter, I can't wait to see for myself what a ported ms660 can do

I'm leaning toward wicked .. I Like that he has a website that details everything he does with pics and video. I can't find anything but YouTube videos of finished saws cutting from these other builders. No process, no images of the cylinders or any detail at all. Just guys cutting through wood that may or may not show that the saw has strong gains. I'm sure these guys are good, but some cutting videos don't tell me anything useful. Wicked lets you know exactly what's going on and what you are getting and at what quality. It's almost 2015...if you have a business...get a website. I'm not sending a brand new $1100.00 piece of equipment out to some guy who hasn't shown me what I'm getting back...in detail.

Wicked does Stihls? I thought just
Huskys and Jonsereds?

Oh and as for the monkey, I assume it is because the quote in my title "no problem is so bad you can't make it worse" is a nasa quote?

I agree that a video of a super ported saw cutting through a log don't tell much. If there was a comparison between a ported and a well known stock saw, that would tell a usable story. Detailed pics of porting work is useful for some, but a comparison video is really all anyone should need to decide if it's worth the $$$$$$

The only way I would know is to run one for a few years to see how they hold up. you cant judge like that in a few minutes and say all is well.
