I have some hardwood logs that need cut to shorter lengths. they are covered and endsealed, but too long. This keeps happening so I want to get a bigger saw than my Stihl 048AVE with the 36 bar.

Some of the logs are over 6 feet in diameter and most over 4 feet. I was using an older Husq 394 today, but it is either too worn or I need a bigger rig.......where are all of those old 090s!!!!

What do you suggest?

If you consistently need a saw to pull over 36" in hardwood then you need something like an 084, 088, 880, 3120 or 090. A built 660 would do it too.

I've got a 660 with a 36" myself and it's pretty taxed buried it in hardwood.

i got a 084 av with a couple of 21 inch bars and a 36 inch bar and chain that has only been used 2 times getting ready to sell it for $ 700.00
