here in pa. i have to store the tenants property for 30 days, after i finally get to the point of having them evicted..
there's a legal process that must be documented to protect yourself as a landlord (it sucks)..
in this case, it sounds like they could come back and claim they went on vacation and the landlord sold all their stuff ??
jus sayin..

course, i don't know the whole story...

Yea, a couple of week seems like a short time to go through the eviction process, at least here in PA. It can take months to get someone out. The only time that someone can be immediately evicted (change the locks, etc.) is if there was drug-related criminal activity in the house.

I hope it all works out and is legit. I would just make sure that you don't buy a chainsaw that you have to give back because it was illegally taken.

Post pics!

Just because the tenants left may not make him eligible to take their property without due cause.

You are exactly right. I have went through this first hand. I went to check one of our rentals last summer. It was in a town about 40 miles away in Iowa so I do not check it often. I arrived to find the door kicked in. I asked the neighbors and they said the tenants had been gone for a week. I had to call the sheriffs department to get an escort to enter the house. They told me I could then secure it. After that legally you have to go through an extensive eviction process that takes a long time. You then (as another member mention) have to put their property in storage. It is a huge hassle that can easily bite you in the rear end

I don't get it about this forum. If someone doesn't know everything there is to know about chainsaws and if there aren't any pics, something doesn't smell right or is suspicious.

We are just talking about chainsaws and they're not the end of the world.....although I'm sure that some of you might think so.

If this thread gets any where's near being nasty or goes sideways, I won't post anything about what I find. Let's keep it friendly, easy going and laid back.

It's just a stupid saw.
wow. I guess I don't understand why anyone would start a thread if they feel this way. Just a waste of everyone's time. I saw this thread back at the top and figured there was a pic or two of the saw, only to find more BS! Thanks for nothing!

Once you understand Dano is a narcissist it all comes into focus... Lots of stories and boasts but he has never produced one iota of proof to back any of it up and will always have an excuse why it isn't necessary.

Story doesnt make any sense to me. If there was a house full of guns and a big stihl chainsaw that were up for grabs..... why in the hell would anybody be taking a motorcycle to go check it out? Id take a truck with a camper top pulling a 20' enclosed trailer and try to buy everything I could get my hands on. None of this "yeah Im interested but can you hold it, cause I cant haul it on my bike?" It would be a fast cash deal and Id be on my way with the goods.

Nailed it. And his career in law enforcement? Reliable sources say he was the parking enforcement officer. But, then again, some of those meter maids are meaner than hell. ;)

going to check out saws on a motorcycle makes no sense, it's like bragging about a new saw on an "enthusiast forum" without posting pics of said saw, which goes hand in hand with running said saw in the garage.
