Most landfills I know of are for profit enterprises
Well maybe in Texas but not here...................

into the same landfill, my property literally connects to the city dump, I go there quite often to dispose of brush

You see here city services are paid for through TAX dollars

you see where I pay for all that? $58 PER TON, covers ALL the work they have to do with it, and they make a metric **** ton of money at the landfill, the profit for my local ~250 acre landfill is probably half a million PER DAY, so I dont feel bad about it at all

You have to remember, Bill doesn't get out much... his experience is limited to his little corner of Illinois...

You have taken a look at the city's books and made sure that your measlily $58 covers all their expenses?

I will tell you here the city across the ditch takes all the brush dropped off and lights it with tires every Fall. I know because I have hauled in there many times and I AM A TAXPAYER THERE.

You and ole Jolly are quite a funny pair. :)

I have a ton more practical experience than I bet you do but it seems you are destined to drive the thread into personal attacks.
I believe you're the one who jumped in here and started insulting people, as usual.

So you dump your problems on the taxpayers of the city...............who would have thunk it!
Zin doesn't have a brush problem, his customers do, just as my trash company doesn't have a trash problem, I do, so I pay them to take it to the landfill for me.

couldn't have said it better!
you were a teacher, weren't you...
"those who can't, teach, those who can, do"
and I AM A TAXPAYER THERE.
yeah, everyone that goes to the landfill is, you aren't special... I mean you are, but not because you pay taxes

I have always been good at lighting poo on fire (sometimes not when I wanted to) but I have not mastered snow yet. :)

So you catching any Beaver yet?
Got too cold the one still eluded me. But I'll take him out for ice cream soon enough.

Illinois epa themselves says you can't burn tires... wonder what the fine is, hundreds of thousands of dollars or jail time is my guess

Yes, look at the screenshots I posted, I didn't miss your point, you seem to not realize it's ILLEGAL to burn tires...
I believe that may applied to commercial burning, may not apply to a private individuals.

No I commented about burning brush That is what the thread is about. You folks wanted to drive it off topic

You commented about burning tires, not brush
Well what year were you born? I am betting it might be around my first of the 29,000 posts you mentioned. You see a few of us have a couple "gray hairs" and have been around a bit.
Absolutely none of your business
I do not need to go to the landfill. I know how to manage garbage
Let me guess, you burn that too?

Of course it depends on your ice thickness but when you can find their feed bed under the ice they will have a set run. If you saw a hole in the ice and set a 330 Conibear you can nail them each night. We have zero ice here yet. Our beaver trapping season runs until March 31 but realistically they will still not build a decent coat by then. Damn the global warming

We can use tires in brush piles all we want. It is not a crime. Hell our fireman and cops do. Some little kiddos read something on the big wide web and think they are experts in their underoos.
