I test drove a 95 F-150 4X4 Supercab LB with 114k miles yesterday. It's in great condition. No known issues. The guy just replaced the auto hubs with manual hubs due to a problem with the originals. He had the truck listed at $5395, and I said I would only pay $4500. Not because his truck is not worth more, I just know I can get what I need for $4500 or less. He said he would take no less than $4700 because he just had the hubs replaced. What do you guys think? Here's a pic.

That's exactly what my last truck looked like, same everything and boy do I miss it, could really use it now with 2 junior wdchucks, and probably no rust being down there.

THat would be a real good price up here, but it really depends on what you want to do with it.

Where is it?, I'll bring 4700

It's in Virginia, but that's all I'm saying.:D

I don't really need 4X4 or the long bed, but on the other hand I wouldn't let it stop me from buying a great truck. I don't really need a cap either, so that would be the first thing to go.

The long wheelbase that comes with that setup gives a nice smooth ride.

The guy who got me into this addictive hobby is in Elberon, VA. you far from there?

Those auto hubs are pretty simple, he probably didn't want to pony up for the dealer-only parts, I rebuilt mine and it was pretty easy.

Yup, that sure is a purtty truck.

Just my .02 it should book around $4200-$4500 2wd and $4500-$4800 4wd with those miles, I don't think you are getting boned at all!! My dad would get it for $4300, he's just good like that LOL!!! Nice looking truck, split the dif., offer him $4600 and see what happens.

Elberon is pretty close, no more than an hour I think. I've been out that way looking at a house to buy. What hobby are you talking about?

The truck owner paid a friend $300 to install the manual hubs, the auto would have been $700. You are right, being that he was selling it he wanted to fix it for less. The manual hubs are not an issue for me as I would not use 4WD often. We don't get snow in this area, and almost everything is paved and flat!

This is the first truck I have driven since I sold my Nissan. I think I'm going to drive a few more. I hate to jump into something. Don't get me wrong I think it's a good deal at $4700, I just know that I could get a 2WD supercab shortbed for $4k or less.

Cutting trees, firewood, milling and the like.

I saw a 4 bdrm house on 1.5 acres out near Elberon some time ago for $40k! Too far out in the woods for the wife though.

40K?,

A decent 4bdrm house on a wooded or in a wooded 1.5acre will fetch $250K - $400K in the surrounding communities. Even a rural fixer upper on a used-to-be cornfield would go for around $200K. IF the pole barn is in decent shape.:pumpkin2:

Well, this house had full basement that had about 4-5' of water init. Lots of work needed too. My agent said just open the lockbox and go in. I got there and the front door wasn't even locked. That kind of freaked me out. I didn't know what I'd find in there. Didn't stay too long.

Those are the places that make you appreciate what you have.

THE indoor pool or RC boat pond sounds cool.

You had a Nissan before? Mine is an 86-1/2 hardbody with a flatbed and in need of a cab exchange. It works for now on our property but the rear drivers cab corner collapsed from rust and soft rollover. I've got a 92cab in the garage that will make it a new truck when the switch is made. That will be my 4x4 wood hauler, easy in the woods and the flatbed allows almost a full cord per load. The new cab even came with a stereo.

My dad had an 86 1/2 hardbody too. His was a light brown 4X4. Mine was a 2000 2WD. Good little trucks!

Just bought the truck for $4500! Carfax showed no alerts, sweet! I'm an F-150 owner!

The cap is coming off when it gets in the driveway if I can get the neighbor to help. It's a 5.0 with an auto tranny. I Honestly did not know that a Ford could run as nice as this one. No squeaks or rattles at all. Maybe I have just driven beaters in the past.

nah, you just bought the #1 selling truck of all time. there's a reason for that track record, BTW.

Nice truck rb. enjoy it. I like the colors. needs a little bigger tires when you're ready to replace those ;)

If I could pick the colors I would have chosen silver or silver/black two tone. As far as the tires go I am happy with the size it has. I'm not going to be doing any offroading just yet. What size were you thinking?

if it has 15 rims, 31-11.50s fit great without going big as heck

if 16s, 265-70 sits it up a bit over everyone else

color, lol, mine is silver with black pinstripe, and regular cab, and 4x2, and v-6! carreful what u wish for!
