OSHA designed and approved to protect you from yourself. Can't put a good cutting edge on those.

I don't feel like reading 16 pages.... Did the OP ever decide on a saw? Or did we scare him off?
try square filing for that type. Can't put a good cutting edge on those.

What is the "TP"?I can save you the trouble, just read what you posted and you'll pretty much have the idea. If you came here looking for something regarding a chainsaw, just skip this entire thread, read the one in the TP about a new MS880 for sale, it's more entertaining. Especially with half the posts being deleted. I could've sworn I joined a chainsaw site with the same name as this site at one point....

Going to see if I can get more than 10m to go to the local used place to see what they have there. If nothing, then Husky it is. I also have a line on a grapple load of firewood, but I want to go check out the lot first. If its giant rounds then perhaps I'll bump up to a Husky 460.Is the op gonna get the Husky or what?

After 33 years of marriage, I do this with my wife also......
When we were learning the APC we were encouraged to "push the envelope"Ahhhh now this thread is perking up!! Talk of tracked vehicles and M2 and I'm in! I had the pleasure of riding M1A1's and now that is a fun tracked vehicle to drive!! Nothing better than being in the TC seat firing the M2 on the move. TC complete!!
I love both of my Echo's and all 3 of my Sthils. Inherited an 024 ( great shape great saw) and an 026. Already had an 029. All Sthils have Muffler Modification and needed it. The cs590 and cs 310 simply needed carb adjustment and gives very good performance. I've considered selling the smaller Sthils But no one around here wants to pay what I'd expect. Since I have no need to sell I'm keeping them. It's not like I need the money. I figure a used Sthil is worth what I'd pay IF, I needed one. If both saws with cases aren't worth 450 to anyone else they are to me. I used the 026 today. Strangely, it feels lighter than the 024 and has a tiny bit more power. Tomorrow I plan to use the 024 just because a saw needs to be used some. They are sweet machines. Now when a tree wants to fight the smaller saws, my upgraded 029 comes out. If we get a bigger tree that slows the 029, then the cs 590 with a 24 inch bar comes to play.I 2nd that idea, can't go wrong with that. Best bang for the buck. Bar none.
Funny this thread was brought back up.
Wife, kiddo, and I finally went into town at the nearest Lowe's yesterday. They had a Husky 455, but with an 20" chain. Was about $80 more. I want the 18" chain and they didn't have it. Pissed me off to no end. Seems like you have to buy everything online now.
So I say screw it, I'll just order it online then. So last night when we got home I add it to my cart and three bottles of the premixed stuff for the Husky warranty. What's that? Oh, they won't ship the fuel. I have to go back to the store to pick it up.
This is the third time Lowe's has dropped the ball on me. I got these stupid gift cards and I don't even want to shop here anymore.
