Can't modify/delete a post I made

I also think that's a good idea someone (Treeco?) suggested about locking pictures up so they can't be edited. If you ain't got nads enough to stand behind what you put out there, then don't post.

Good point Tom, and nice of you to give Dan the credit as well. He comes up with some good ideas quite often

This post was obnoxious and overbearing and misleading and I'd like to apologize for it and set things right, which is what a real man does when he makes a mistake. Instead of editing or deleting and pretending it never happened.
I'm having some real fun now.

I voted for 48 hrs. but I was thinking about it last night and in truth I prefer no timelimit. There will be some abuse perhaps and I could live with a time limit, but to be pefectly honest I like the old way better.

That would be perfect. I screwed up pics on a post, now I can't change it. I can see them, but the rest of the world can't. I had to repost the pics after I was told they couldn't be seen. It was only 2 hours later and I could'nt fix it. To put it simply, this 1 hour edit feature SUCKS!

I'm a bit of a grammar/spelling fanatic. When I quote someone I usually correct any spelling mistakes in the quote before I post it. LOL I voted for 48hrs, that should be plenty of time to notice any spelling, grammatical, or photo errors.

As far as post ownership goes, if the owner of AS can find some way to make money off of what I spew out, then more power to him.

can't believe ONE a**hole comes in with express purpose of disrupting things and was apparently successful.

that's based upon changing edit rules that affects ALL AS regulars.

most other forums would have immediately locked the thread and banned that a**hole's IP. then after conferring with other admins, deleted the thread.

this entire mess is causing more work for the admins. which should be reduced if anything.

things needs to put back where it was before and let us get back to normal.

It wasn't so much of a problem as it was a knee jerk reaction to one members complaint who was concerned about another members post.

I voted on the 48 hrs, because it is nice to be able to correct yourself sometimes, maybe not so much what you said, but how it is worded or spelling mistakes.
I agree if AS can make money on some of the nonsense crap I post good for them, I never could seem to make anything on what I have to say.:hmm3grin2orange:

I misspelled a word a name of someone that seems to be a nice guy -I went to change it that led me here - it seems I have to live with it the way it is because someone deleted a story about his love for his gf or saw or something-I truely wish I had not found out-I kept on dig'n trying to make sence of it-I regret that also-however I have seen some deleted post and hate Ill never read them so I voted for 48hrs
Now back to my quest on trying to learn to sharpen a sq ground chain!!
