grandpa douche AKA flattop burns.... his question was about what gloves to use. I hate people like you who are on here just to piss people off instead of helping others. For example, put a link on here for "chainsaw school" like u suggested instead of being a turd.

I bought some clearanced hobart mig welding gloves at tsc. Seemed like good leather with a little bit of padding to them. I have not used them yet because my current ones are still going strong.

back to the question....i just use leather palmed wells lamont gloves, but im sure u could get someone to custom make gloves for you with leather palms with the top material being kevlar like some fishing gloves to protect from a slicing action, or the material chaps are made out of on the top.... just an idea

i did not even think about that, you might check out your local welding supplier. that would be a good source for a very good glove at a fair price.

I believe so or I would not have bought them. But I don't think they offer any great protection from a chain.

I just wear leather palm work gloves when running a saw. The type with the canvas cuffs. Or nothing.

I usually use the Tillman leather "drivers" decent gloves, just so happens I used a chitty thin pair of gloves today. I think I'm goin to get some chainsaw rated gloves with the Kevlar or polyester that they use in chaps
