Chainsaw rebuild problem?

Here is a clone of a 460 with 3/4 wrap. Running VPracing oil 40:1

There is no sign of heat damage to the underside of the piston nor the crank on this one. Only on the exhaust side of the piston is all scratched from rubbing against the cylinder wall.
Unfortunately we may never know if this thing would run again as my friend has now decided to just invest in a new saw rather than repair the old one

Went with a Raider RD-GC31, Raider are a cheap and reliable brand over here with a wide range of tools, used their saws before they are decent. Made in Germany too, for real this time . This was $260 delivered

First off, there is no way you'll be able to find, much less buy, actual parts for this thing. So, you buy a $15, 44mm piston. How do you know it will actually fit? Just matching diameter won't cut it.
Chuck it. Buy a real saw.

There are plenty of cheap 44mm kits for 52cc engines out there that are plug and play. This one hilariously states "made of metal"
