Here is a clone of a 460 with 3/4 wrap. Running VPracing oil 40:1
There is no sign of heat damage to the underside of the piston nor the crank on this one. Only on the exhaust side of the piston is all scratched from rubbing against the cylinder wall.
Unfortunately we may never know if this thing would run again as my friend has now decided to just invest in a new saw rather than repair the old one

If all you want to do is play with a saw, keep getting clones. They will last at least a couple cuts. Well, some will.
Never bought a clone in my life. The Raider chainsaws are good quality I used one to cut up 10m3 of firewood last year and it didn't miss a beat

That Raider looks like a typical Chinese made copy of a Zenoah G4500. They are all over ebay and Amazon around here and sold with various names, colors and sizes ranging from 45-68cc. The stated size is usually not the actual size of the engine and quality ranges from decent to horrible POS. I got one this winter to play with, and so far it has been pretty darn good. Not something I would want to depend on as my only saw, but good enough to cut firewood and cheap to modify and experiment with. If you do not have the tools, skills and inclination to work on chainsaws I would not recommend them, it will cost more to pay someone to fix it than it would to buy another new one.
Chinese quality control and product support is non-existent. Some people get lucky, get one that works and they are happy. Some don't.

I forget the brand, I will post some pictures when I get it. The guy has a repair shop and uses these parts so there's a good chance they are reasonable quality knock offs. Should be a straight fit
It wasn't straight gassed I mixed the fuel myself 50:1. Burnt out after about 30 minutes cutting through some lumps of hard wood. Wasn't aware it was a fake stihl or I would have adjusted the carb so it didn't rev so high and not worked it so hard
Run 40 - 1 mix in it.

Raider aren't a fake copy company, all of their products are red just like all Dewalt stuff is yellow. My friend in Bulgaria is a professional carpenter and he only buys raider tools for his workshop because of their quality and reliability. You can buy 3 raider batteries for the price of a makita one for their power tool range so why spend more kind of thing.

I guess you could say that some Raider tools are shall we say, inspired by other brands. Like their dual battery electric chainsaw for example, looks very similar to the Makita one. My carpenter friend has the Raider one and he loves it works great. Not a fan of battery chainsaws myself but he is an offgrid guy with solar power and stuff so it makes sense in a way. OEM Oregon chain and bar too not fake. I've used both of these saws actually and they both suck equally haha, compared to a gas one that is. They do the job if you have the patience though. What really sucked with the Makita at the time is I only had a single battery charger so after 30 minutes of cutting I had to wait forever to charge each battery individually.....

I wouldn't call these saws "fake", since they are not being sold as a big name brand item under false pretenses.
They are however, copies of name brand items that were sold in the past.
I'm sure Raider is a legit and respected company.
At the price points you are stating, it is obvious where they are sourcing their products.
Raider is performing the product QC and support roles we don't get if we order from a Chinese supplier.
We have companies here in the US that do the same thing.

Where does it say the raider saw is made in Germany?
Actually I was mistaken. The company that owns Raider, Euromaster Import - Export Ltd, are the official representatives of Metabo which is a German tool manufacturer which I mistakenly thought was one of their subsidiaries as they have multiple. But I believe that the manufacturing for their own brand tools like Raider is done in China since they setup a quality and control office there in 1999 to monitor manufacturing. They are a European company with a good reputation and adhering to stringent international quality standards though.

Worth noting also that Raider chainsaws come with a 24 month warranty so the idea of it failing after a few cuts is out of the question. At $50 it is ideal for my friend who only needs it for cutting some firewood and a bit of gardening. A comparable saw from Stihl costs $350.....
