Yeah, I'm pretty sure I was called worse during my first few posts on AS.

I enjoy the pics but the arrogance makes me want to join a liberal environmental group and shut them down.
Most of us 98 percenters have a skill set where the loggers would not be qualified to carry our jock straps.

And most of us "arrogant" types wouldn't tell you 98 percenters how to do your job. We'd have better sense than to do that. We take offense to an unqualified person being critical of our work, just like you probably would.

As far as your jock strap goes, we'd appreciate it if you'd carry that yourself.

You're not too forward thinking, hell, you're barely thinking at all. The guy laying across that log is a member here and I doubt seriously if you're even remotely qualified to question his methods.
He's a professional faller and he's worked some of the biggest timber on the steepest ground that exists.
That particular picture was taken in Alaska. If you want we can post some links of him cutting trees that would probably make you run away and hide.

When I first looked at that photo the first thing I thought was wow I would not want my fun stick in a place that the bar will want to lick towards . It's too short to begin with . Then I thought what a ride that's going to be when he finishes the cut . I used to think I new everything now I'm older and know I know nothing . And I'll be honest I probably would have walked away from that one with my tail between my legs . The only way I would take that tree is 3 ft at a time from the top . The guys that do that big timber amaze me and have my respect . I would never do it .

I'd rather see a photo with you in it to prove that you're as bad ass with a chain saw as you are typing on a keyboard.

I have worked in the Log Woods, as my Father before me. His entire working career was in the Log Woods.
I knew/know fallers, and buckers that have forgotten more about timber, saws and cutting that I will ever know.
ALL of them were guys that you could talk to, and ask questions, MANY MANY questions.
One time, I was bumping knots, and a bucker came up to me and said watch out for the next deck, as there is a Yellow Jacket nest there and they are pissed.

I do not add much to this forum, but I do lots and lots of reading.

Guys like GOLOGIT are men that remind me of my Father (RIP).

Thank you for posting all that you do GOLOGIT, this world needs more like you.

When I saw that pic the first thing that went through my head was, "man that guy's good" and then I saw the post of someone making fun of him and the first thing that went through my head was, "what a moron", I love those pics of loggers doing that crazy stuff, I wish I had more pics of myself at work when I was a bit younger. This is the only one that I have. Dangerous work makes you arrogant.
