I was in there yesterday, of course I took a stroll down the chainsaw aisle. Only one Echo gas saw, a 310, on the shelf... Didn't notice the price. Just thought "that's odd, must be just selling battery saws now".
Or a storm came thru? Or it was the week for the Deer Hunt? or it was the first weekend of the local farmers firewood cutting bees? Same thing when you went to the next store? Tractor Supply?

you strolled, and than wanted to use your keyboard? Battery saws are intended to eliminate the 30% homeowner user with no need to begin with.

Sounds like your store sold a sh*t-ton of chainsaws to real sawyers.

Jeez Cap't, I was just sharing a observation I made... No empty spots on the shelves for other gas saws. As for selling to "real sawyers", I have never seen anything there for sale a "real sawyer" would be buying anyway.

To be honest most are better off with battery powered saws. Some folks are just two stroke impaired. Or dont use them enough to justify buying them. I told my dad who is pushing 80 he needed to go with battery. He just cant start them anymore and wants to cut his own firewood. Did they have any 590's there?

It's all a numbers game. If the sales aren't there, say goodbye. The aisle the gas powered equipment is in at my HD is poorly lit and at the far end from the main aisle. So it's off the beaten path. The trimmers had decent sell thru but the Echo saws gathered dust. We have a Blains Farm and Fleet very close by and their Echo selection is very well represented.

Saw this post a few days ago and thought a trip to Home Depot was worth it on a snowy day. Not one single chainsaw available. Not a chain, no bar oil, absolutely nothing. There was a ton of pre mix fuel for sale. This particular Home Depot never had a huge selection to begin with
