Coming to new york in nov 2 days need roof/ guide

I am going to Northampton for a guitar building tutorial Oct 23- Nov 4. As I am traveling from backwoods BC Canada it would be nice to see the BIG APPLE! Does anyone out there feel like hooking up with me? Maybe show me around.? Will I need a side arm?

I googled Northampton NY and that is by Rochester which is like 7+ hours from NYC, is that a correct location? Give the full address so I can see where you will be in reference to me.

My plan was to take an Amtrak from Springfield Ma. to New York Penn Station. Northampton is North of the Hartford/ Springfield BDL Airport which is where I will fly into and William will pick me up there. I spend two weeks there building a guitar and then I would like to see New York as I have only seen it on TV. Since I am flying across the continent it would be a shame not to at least see some of it and maybe eat a famous smokie! I am told it is 3.5 hours from Northampton by car one way and 7 hours round trip that could be wrong. Also it's in Mass. not NY if I'm not mistaken.
