What the heck is an echo 680?? CT boys this way play with huskys and bandits last I knew??

Oh so not true. Tons of guys around here use Echos. Usually though its landscapers trying to save a buck and expand their business. Kind of like you buying a Craftsman zero turn and saying your a landscaper.

no offense Echo680 just having some fun...

(lol sometimes its fun to just try and start trouble)

P.S. looks like I may be getting some small work from the storm after all.

Hey Guys,

Yeah i have got to change my screen name i bought a husky 576xp a couple months ago. I do have a little echo though and that saw dose not owe me a penny its light, runs very well but i think in few weeks she is going to be a shelf decoration. I am going to take the plunge and buy a 346xp to replace the echo and 385xp for my big saw.

I was going to buy the 680 model echo saw but the more i thought about it a husky is a proven name and makes damn good saws so i wanted to do it right the frist time. The thing that stood out about the echo is 5 year warrenty on those saws not sure why they would put a warrenty that long on their product because they are not reliable?? I am not sure.

Thats great news stilhl o matic any work is better than no work, i hope to be out in the woods cutting again, i miss the smell of two stroke exhaust the sight of seeing the chips fly.

I think a CT gtg is in order

Well have a good night when you guys get to it.
Justin

i've been pushing a CT GTG for years.

i do have a bunch of oak and maple i need cut up.Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm........

i'm sure neighbors would get over it eventually.

if you have a 576xp,i'd go bigger than a 385.

Fishercat had been pushing a CT GTG for years.

I got a friend who cleared 5 acres or so and has numerous cords on the ground. I have taken 10+ cords out of there already and barely put a dent in it. He wants it out so he can start building I am sure he would love half it gone in a weekend not sure on the liability aspects though.

I am all for a gtg and would love to get out and cut with you guys.
Hmm if not a 385 what would you recomend? I really don't need anything bigger than a 385 but CAD is hard to cure

i'd go at least a 390xp or a 395xp.it's just a thought.don't let me pressure you into anything.i guess it all comes down to the bar length and what type of chain you are running.

We drove through the remnants of that storm on our way up to Maine. I kept calling and calling the hotel in New Britain to let them know we would be in late....no answer.

I kept thinking, someone robbed the place, killed all the staff and now there are all sorts of police and stuff there.

Pulled into a blacked out building. Alot of the town was out of power. Had to go to a local gym the next morning for showers. Didn't expect power back until later that afternoon. Was wishing I had my saws and some time to cut!

I wish I knew you were going thought there I would have told you to stay out of that #### hole and found you a better place to stay.

 We have not found it to be too bad there, but I guess we have been more in Farmington than New Britain. We have been hitting Priceline and getting into the Marriots. We really like the Marriot in Farmington. We did that after one year we pulled into the Hampton Inn (?) and there was a low rent wedding going on. Two women that looke about 50 (probably 35) were out front smoking and drinking sitting in plastic chairs. I drove up in the minivan with the wife and kids and bikes on the roofrack. One of them said something how she'd like to get her hands on biker. Can't say that I get grossed about offers of lovin' but this one did.

Hope you all did well in the storm. I was surprised not to see trucks out that morning but we only drove about 10 miles through town and were gone by 1100.

Most of the damage was a little farther east of there. If you went through that area you would have and still would see tons of crews there.
