Motorboy , my little poulan was hard to start the first time I got it hot . I found out that if I pushed the primer bulb a couple times to get some cooler gas in the carb it would start right up . I looked up what poulan calls the warm start procedure for the 3314 , place switch on , set fast idle , press primer bulb 6 times , pull starter , blip throttle to idle . Is there something wrong with your poulan XXV ?

Yeah it should be in the junkyard.(my xxv) I am not even going to start with the problems that has.

I was running 10 saws the other day, 3 poulans, 2 stihl, 3 partners, 1 husky, 1 dolmar. Guess which one the recoil hung up on, NOPE, the stihl 066, should I be p.o.'ed and return it! Heck No, just fix the minor inconveniences. All saws will give you problems down the road and sometimes just turning onto that road for the first time.

Thats because of the MONSTER compression. :buttkick:

To answer your question, yes. Should they , no. Does it make them just like the chick you were talking about, yes.

Would I do this to the local saw dealer. Of course not.

The reason that you do that to a Lowes or a Home Depot, is that you cannot find a single soul who knows about the product they are selling, the features, and the benefits or limitations.
They also have no one that knows how to repair or replace anything.

Those stores have ENCOURAGED people to adapt a "trial basis" purchase policy.

Why? because Joe Homeowner, once he has the thing in his garage, wont use it again for a year. 99% of the time they come out ahead, and save money on having to hire and pay well qualified and trained employees.

Since that is the way they do business, you would be foolish to try and take some perceived higher moral ground. They have established their policies in their own best interests, believe me.
